students with the skill and sensitivity of our teaching artists.
It will
also allow us to bring our dances to life in their fullest incarnation.
Here are some of the ways we will put your contribution to work:
$15 buys 1 hour of rehearsal space
$30 covers a teaching artist's transportation to and from school
for a week
$60 buys fabric for half of a new costume
$120 pays for a teaching artist's daily fee
$500 pays for a new set piece
$1,000 covers 1 performer's fee
$2,500 covers travel expenses for a two-week tour
$5,000 pays for theater rental for a week
$10,000 underwrites the creation of one new dance piece

Drastic Action is a contemporary dance company under the direction of
Aviva
Geismar. The purpose of Drastic Action is the creation, performance and
presentation of thought provoking dance and performance work. Drastic Action
also conducts outreach programs such as workshops, educational programs,
seminars and lecture demonstrations with public communities. These
activities are aimed at creating bridges of understanding across lines
of
difference, researching topics for the company’s performance projects
and
creating opportunities for individual expression and empowerment.
