DANCERS' BIO
Emily Bunning (performer) is a graduate of Stephens College in Missouri and has been dancing with Drastic Action since 1997. Emily is cofounder and choreographer for the Treehouse Shakers. Her work has most recently been seen at Jacob’s Pillow, Alvin Ailey Theater, Dancenow/Joyce SoHo, HERE Arts Center, Brooklyn Arts Exchange, Tribeca Film Festival as well as in Arizona, Wyoming, Florida, New Jersey and Belgrade, Serbia. Emily has also performed with Gotham Group Dance, Dura Mater, and Valerie Green/Dance Entropy.
Angharad Davies (performer) began working with Drastic Action in 2004. She also collaborates with Berlin-based choreographer Johanna Hegenscheidt. In New York, Angharad has performed with choreographers Ivy Baldwin, Ze'eva Cohen, and Gina Gibney, among others. Her own choreographic work has been presented by venues such as Cleveland State University, Danspace Project and Joyce Soho. Angharad is currently a teaching artist for the Lincoln Center Institute, and has been a guest teacher at several universities and arts organizations, including George Washington, Yale, and Yorkshire Dance Centre in Leeds, England. Angharad holds an MFA from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.
Sarah Lewis (performer) holds a BFA in Dance from the College Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati, Ohio. For three years she performed with Cincinnati's Contemporary Dance Theater. In New York, she has worked with Andrea Mills, Chris Ferris, Limbic Six, Heather Harrington Dance Company and Incidents Physical Theater. She teaches yoga at Peridance, Jaya Yoga, and the Dharma Yoga Center. Sarah began working with Drastic Action in 2002.
Gina Paolillo (performer) holds a BFA from Sarah Lawrence College and an MFA from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. She has worked as a freelance dancer in New York with choreographers such as David Grenke and Thingsezisee'm Dance/Theater, Sara Hook Dances, Randy James Danceworks and Dani Nikas. She currently performs with and JoAnna Mendl Shaw’s Equus Projects/Dancing with Horses. She began working with Drastic Action in 2001. Gina is also a certified GYROTONIC® and GYROKINESIS® instructor.
Alessandra Larson graduated summa cum laude from Washington University in St. Louis with a BA in dance and psychology. She has performed for Dance St. Louis and in works by Trinette Singleton, Bebe Miller and David Dorfman among others. While in St. Louis, Alessandra was on the ballet faculty at the Center of Creative Arts. In New York, she has studied at NYU Tisch School of the Arts, The Ailey School, and with Jana Hicks and Zvi Gotheiner. Alessandra currently works in dance publicity and cultural programming. She began working with Drastic Action in 2005.
